How is Vertgigs different from Backstage or Mandy?+
Vertgigs is built for vertical micro-content format from the ground up: 9:16 reel uploads and a role taxonomy specific to vertical drama (vertical drama editor, short-form series director, 9:16 colorist). Backstage and Mandy serve horizontal TV and film. Vertgigs serves vertical drama, short-form series, and social video production.
How much does it cost to post a gig?+
Nothing today. Vertgigs takes no payment yet and posting is not open. The planned prices are $15 per gig post, $35 per casting call, $49/month for a Studio plan with unlimited gig posts and casting calls, and $75 for a featured event listing.
Can I post a casting call for a vertical drama series?+
Not yet. Posting is not open. Casting calls are a planned post type with character breakdowns and a vertical self-tape audition format (60 to 90 seconds). The planned price is $35 per casting call, or included in the Studio plan.
Are there free options for talent looking for work?+
Yes. Every account is free today and Vertgigs takes no payment. Profiles, reel upload, and gig applications are planned and not open yet. The plan is a free Seeker tier with a full profile, a 9:16 reel, and up to 3 applications per month, and a Pro tier planned at $12/month with no application limit.
How does verification work?+
Pro account holders can request verification. The Vertgigs team reviews your reel, 2-3 production credits, and a government ID match. Verified accounts get a green badge on their profile and in search results. Verification is not a background check.
What roles are listed on Vertgigs?+
Vertgigs covers the full vertical production crew: editors, directors, actors, directors of photography, motion designers, animators, writers, casting coordinators, and location scouts. More role categories are added based on community demand.
How do I host an event on Vertgigs?+
Event hosting is not open yet. The plan is for Pro and Studio accounts to create standard event listings, with featured slots planned at $75. Event hosts will have to acknowledge the indemnification agreement: Vertgigs is a listing platform only, not a co-organizer.
